This exhibition includes the work of fifteen emerging artists who have studied at school or college in Orkney and have recently gained a degree in art or design subjects.

The artists are:

Wendy Barker; Elizabeth Bown; Dunstan Clackson; Jamilla Garrett; Siân Griffith; Sophie Macdonald; Beccy Mooney; Barbara Morrison; Vicki Redpath-Watson; Molly Shearer; Janine Smith; Fin Tams-Gray; Martin Turner; Eilidh Warnock; Sue Whittingham.

Supporting Orkney’s emerging artists has been an integral part of the Pier Arts Centre’s activities since opening in 1979 and the recent graduate exhibitions alone have seen the gallery display the work of over 100 artists.

The work on display explores a vast array of media including photography, design, painting, fashion and textiles, with the artists having studied all over Scotland, at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, Edinburgh College of Art, Glasgow School of Art and UHI Orkney.
