As part of DASH WAIWAV (We are Invisible We Are Visible) on 2 July 2022, 31 disabled Artists will be taking over spaces in 30 museums & galleries across Britain & Northern Ireland to celebrate the joy of Dada, on one day.

Cheryl Beer is a hearing-impaired Environmental Sound Artist & Composer who repurposes hearing aid technology to notate the natural environment by collating vascular biorhythms beneath the bark.

She will create a piece of Live Performance Art at the Pier Arts Centre as part of WAIWAV. The piece will focus on the human biorhythm, where audience members are invited to hear inside the environmental sound artist & beneath the bark of the trees that saved her. There will also be a visual representation of her heartbeat, so that those who cannot hear the sound have access to the experience, as well as a screening of her work at the Rainforests of Wales.

3-4 pm - Live performance art

4.30pm - 5pm - Film Screening, followed by live Q&A
