We are delighted to be supporting Stromness Shopping Week by hosting a Virtual Pavement Art Event.
To be included you need to do a chalk drawing outside on a pavement, path or driveway, as long as it is safe to do so, and take a photograph of it. Share your drawings on the Pier Arts Centre’s Facebook page, send a digital image of your work to isla.holloway@pierartscentre.com or via Facebook Messenger @thepierartscentre. Don’t forget to include your name and age. Pictures must be submitted between 8am and 3pm on Tuesday 21 July. Images and artists details will be shared on the Pier Arts Centre Facebook page throughout the day. Young artists from all over the world can take part!
Keep safe and do a carry on chalking!
Disclaimer: Safety First
The safety of our pavement artist events has always been a high priority for staff at the Pier Arts Centre. This year, when we’re not there to watch over you, make sure you choose a safe place to make your drawing, away from busy streets, parked cars, cyclists, pedestrians, pier edges and other places with short or steep drops.
