A series of free activities and events offering an opportunity to discover, experience and explore our current exhibition Portrait of Stromness.
Thurs 24 Aug 7-9pm
Guided walk through Stromness, starting at the Pier Arts Centre, taking a closer look at various key viewpoints around the town used by artists over the last 200 years. From Cairston Road, looking south across the town to Brinkies Brae with it’s outlook over the harbour, the tour will explore how Stromness has been recorded by artists and the changes that have taken place.
Admission is free and no booking is necessary.

Over the last four Saturdays of Portrait of Stromness there will be an opportunity to tour the exhibition, led by a member of the Pier Arts Centre’s team accompanied by a different special guest each week. The guest speakers will be Stromness artists who all have work on display in the exhibition:
