This summer, writers from Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Canada, England, and Scotland are in residence in the hills above Loch Ness at Moniack Mhor, receiving time and space to develop new work. This exciting and eclectic event brings those writers and a selection of their work to Orkney.
Listen to poetry from Canadian-Scottish writer Alycia Pirmohamed, nature writing from Wainwright and Highland Book Prize longlisted Amanda Thomson, fiction from Glasgow-based writer Heather Parry, performance from Nigerian Chika Jones, poetry from British-Nigerian Tolu Agbelusi, words from Ivorian writer and literary activist, Edwige Renée Dro, and the Moniack Mhor 2023 Jessie Kesson Fellow, poet, writer, and performer, Genevieve Carver.
Joining the writers will be Orcadian fiddle player Eric Linklater.
