Celebrating Scotland’s Art: the Scottish National Gallery Project will completely transform how the nation’s outstanding collection of historic Scottish art is displayed and shared with their audiences. In addition to developing a new dedicated suite of rooms for this collection at the Scottish National Gallery in the heart of Edinburgh, the project team have been working closely with communities across Scotland to gain new insights into their Scottish artworks and develop a range of engaging resources.
When the pandemic began, they had to adapt their ways of working. This involved thinking creatively about how they could improve their online offer and deliver engagement sessions remotely. In this, one of their first in-person talks since early 2020, Mara Barth (Learning and Engagement Officer) and Freya Spoor (Assistant Curator) will discuss some of the challenges and opportunities that the pandemic has created for the project.
Admission to this talk is free but booking is essential. To book your place call 01856 850209 or email info@pierartscentre.com with your name, contact telephone number and how many seats you wish to book.
