Artist Kate Walters works in watercolour, monotype, and oil. Her talk at the Pier Arts Centre in Stromness will include reflections on her recent travels to Shetland and the impact it has had on her work.
“When I'm in Shetland I like to spend as much time as possible outside: walking, drawing, listening, waiting. I try to be as quiet as possible, and to wait for the tiny secrets of nature to reveal themselves to me. When I spend time in Shetland my dreams become clearer, showing me directions for my life and my work.”
