This exhibition investigates the varied responses to landscape within British Modernism of the mid-20th century. From soaring over clifftops, or tracing the convolutions of geological processes to expressing the cultural or spiritual significance of a place, the resulting art is as varied as the British landscape itself. The exhibition includes works by Peter Lanyon, William Gear and Alan Davie. Curated by Lauren Henning, Gallery Programmes Trainee: Exhibitions, Learning and Digital.
