The collecting, connecting and re-interpreting of objects and materials are at the heart of Nick Gordon’s work.  Assemblages of items, discarded and transformed by time and circumstance are re-invested with a new vigour and vitality. 

Nick Gordon, grew up in Kirkwall, graduating from Gary’s School of Art, Aberdeen with an Hons Degree in printmaking. He has exhibited his work across Scotland and participated in residency programmes including Scottish Sculpture Workshop and Hospitalfield Arts.  He is one of a younger generation of artists returning to Orkney and has a creative base at the Stromness WASPS studios.
