Alchemical Landscapes

Orcadian artist Ingrid Budge is interested in the processes involved with alternative film photography, experimenting with dilutions of different chemicals to find an abstract way to express the changing nature of Orkney’s coastlines and landscape.

Some of the work in this exhibition has been created outdoors, using a mixture of camera-less processes, light sensitive paper and traditional photo-chemistry, as well as in the darkroom following time spent in the landscape.

Ingrid was born and educated in Orkney, where she continues to live and work.
