Experimental artists Daniel O’Dempsey and James Alexander McKenzie are in Orkney until the end of October, participating in the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) Residencies for Scotland 2019 programme, with host gallery the Pier Arts Centre.
Daniel, from Liverpool and James from Edinburgh are an energetic partnership that work with a multitude of mediums encompassing performance, painting, poetry, sculpture and music.
They have been based in Orkney since early September and are working on a subversive play titled Fenris Wolf and Ragnar Thorfinn which they will be performing in three stages during October.
Act 2 of Fenris Wolf and Ragnar Thorfinn will debut at Stromness Academy on Saturday 19 October at 3pm. Admission is free and all are welcome. The event will showcase existential monologues, collaborative performance, installation and impulsive music.
Acts 3 of the play will be performed on Thursday 24 October (venue and time to be confirmed.) This event will also be open to the public and free of charge.
