Artist Alexandra Kadzevich from the city of Odesa in Ukraine has been working in Orkney this month, based at the Pier Arts Centre, as part of SWAP: UK/Ukraine residency programme for artists and curators (2019) a British Council Ukraine sponsored artist in residence scheme. Alexandra has been working in the gallery, creating new work in paper, collage and sculpture.

A display of her work will be on show at the Pier Arts Centre on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 October.

In addition, the artist will give an informal talk on her work at 4pm on Saturday 26 October. Admission is free and no booking is necessary.
