During her time at Linkshouse Orkney Art Residency in July, Sara wants to connect with the local community by getting some used clothes from local thrift shops or workshop participants, and transforming these clothes to stuffed animals through a hand stitching workshop.
Sara will record the sounds of iconic Orkney species such as hen harriers, short-eared owls, otters and puffins on special recording devices which will be placed inside the stuffed toys by the workshop’s participants.
With some sewing experience needed, Sara and her helpers will guide you, providing stitching tips and techniques to personalize your creations.
