GENERATION AFTER GENERATION is the result of a nine month project undertaken by the Pier Arts Centre’s Piergroup to engage with the Glasgow 2014 cultural programme GENERATION – 25 years of Scottish contemporary art.
This exhibition draws on works from the Pier Arts Centre’s permanent collection to present a series of creative rooms that explore the artist’s relationship with the key elements of colour, light and nature and highlights the distinctiveness of Orkney as a place of inspiration and creative innovation

Orcadia & Other Stories is a major exhibition of work by Zoë Walker & Neil Bromwich spanning more than 15 years. The exhibition aims to raise relevant and challenging questions about cultural identity and change at a time of development and opportunity across Scotland.

An exhibition of pupils artwork made in response to the Pier Arts Centre Collection. The artwork for this display has been made by pupils from Stromness Primary, including the nursery and pre-school classes.
The exhibition Element comprises work produced by students studying on Edinburgh College of Art's innovative post-graduate MFA programme Art, Space, Nature. Element reflects the individual and multiple readings and interpretations experienced by the artists.
